The Support for Places team brings together a range of skills and experience which can be utilised on a consultancy or interim basis, our profiles follow:
Ivan has over 20 years of economic and community development experience both within local government and as a consultant. Ivan has facilitated networks of local authorities and brings a uniquely rural perspective to our team and has significant knowledge of the issues faced by rural areas in economic development. Having developed rural indicators and practice from an economic development perspective and lead on economic development for a large rural county, Ivan brings knowledge and political astuteness within strategic economic development activity.
Caroline is experienced at helping organisations develop stakeholder engagement strategies using different methods and approaches.She can provide support and consultancy training on relationship management and brokerage – skills essential in developing LEAs when working with partners. As a critical friend she can help officers and partners plan their engagement, support consultation and facilitate consensus and joint working.
Lynette brings a specialist planning focus to our team. She is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and holds qualifications in City, Town and Regional planning. Lynette has experience of master-planning, visioning, and the issues of planning for growth. Through her experience she has developed an expertise in community consultation and can support activities within the LEA related to the Local Development Framework.
