The government wants 2011 to be “the year of corporate philanthropy”.

According to the recent Giving Green Paper this means businesses supporting both a wider range of causes and a more diverse range of organisations. This presents a number of challenges for both businesses and community organisations.

However, the private sector already has a wealth of knowledge and experience in developing innovative ways to support local communities.

This event is a chance for you to hear and share good practice, and discuss some of the key opportunities for both business, and communities, to benefit from the renewed focus on corporate community investment.

We´ll hear from businesses such as Nationwide, who will talk about their financial capability work delivered by Citizens Advice, and Deutsche Bank, whose Arts and Education Programme is enabling local arts organisations to build partnerships with schools and the wider community.
