The new commissioning arrangements for employment and skills services mean that many smaller and specialist providers will need to sub-contract with larger providers if they are to survive. Some will want to do this by developing or working within consortia arrangements.

This one day training session has been designed to look at the practical, legal and operational implications in developing or working within consortia arrangements.

  • Specialist training
with James Jennings, Northwood Valley Consulting
  • Legal considerations
    with Owen Willcox, TPP Law
  • Grassroots experience
    with Daniel Singleton, FaithAction

Dragon's Den: Event Report

West London Working hosted a dragon’s den style capacity building workshop this week. Speakers outlined the practicalities of working in a supply chain, what a prime contractor looks for when choosing a specialist sub-contractor, and what not to do in a pitch.

Designed to improve delegates’ ability to present powerful pitches to potential prime contractors, attendees were given one-to-one support by experts from the third sector and prime contractors.

Delegates were then put through their paces, role playing a presentation of their offer to the “dragons” and getting individual feedback about how to refine and improve their pitch.
