Getting ready to deliver the Work Programme

A one day workshop and networking event for West London providers.

Introduction

The Work Programme bids are in and being assessed and if all goes ahead as planned, providers need to be ready for delivery from early summer. This full day workshop is designed to help providers prepare for delivering their contracts, looking at issues such as compliance around data security, developing frontline advisors and getting contractual and business relationships off to a good start. With opportunities for networking, delegates will get the chance to attend all the interactive workshops, speak to experts and review how prepared they are for delivering Work Programme activities.

Workshop A: Getting your Management Information systems right (Representative from A4e/Skills)

This workshop is to give providers an overview of data security assurances they need to provide, some of the challenges and pitfalls and some tips and hints for how they can make sure they are complying with DWP requirements.

Workshop B – Tips for Keeping Your Clients in Work
Linda Hayworth – Duality Training

How to gear up your team to help keep clients in work- Linda Hayworth specialises in training those on the frontline in developing better services for in-work support. In this workshop she will give an overview of some of the little things we can do to maintain relationships with employers and clients and by developing better systems, how we can improve practice across our organisations.

Workshop C: Using Social Media to Improve Delivery
Rob Weaver – Social Media Consultant

Keeping up to date with new ways of promoting your organisation and in touch with customers should be easier but often a challenge. This workshop will look at how we can use social media. Rob will talk through the three key channels to use and how providers can use them creatively to improve communications and flow of information – at low cost!

Workshop D – Developing your Prime Relationships
Hilary Clifford – Welfare to Work Consultant

It is really important to develop and maintain a profitable and effective relationship with your Prime and supply chain. Hilary Clifford has worked in the W2W industry for many years with major Primes, she will give her insights on what providers need to do to get their relationship off to a good start and some guidelines on how to head off any conflict.
