Crown Prosecution Service Reputation Review
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) were keen to understand their reputation among their partners. They commissioned us to design, manage and report on a major survey of partners in Devon and Cornwall, Gwent, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Merseyside and Northumbria. We worked closely with key people from these areas to design a structured Aide Memoire to provide consistent interviews and a detailed Reputation Scorecard.
We carried out over 90 interviews and collected 195 scorecards to a tight timescale, with 100+ internal Scorecards for comparison. Detailed tests allowed us to compare responses from partner agencies. We also presented a comparison between the perception of the partners and the organisation’s perception of itself - which identified a number of important differences.
At the National Conference of the CPS, staff used the results to pinpoint aspects of their reputation which required some focus during the next 12 months. We also presented separate reports for each of the six areas which provided a basis for more detailed local work with partners.
