Past life
Worked for Hackney Homes as a Research Officer in Service Development which basically meant that anything relating to customer services could be traced back to me: BVPI status survey, audit inspections, mystery shopping, focus groups, satisfaction questionnaires and so on. This also meant that my work overlapped on lots of different service areas: anti-social behaviour, choice-based lettings, domestic violence and hate-crime, leasehold and right to buy services. Because I was dealing with such vast areas of work I was also leading a customer profiling exercise where the aim was to identify our customers, recognise their needs, and consequently tailor the services accordingly. This was a long-term project that involved lots of joined-up working with various departments, contractors and external agencies as well as updating the whole housing management system.
