Past life
Head of Regeneration and Partnership at the London Borough of Hackney when the Hackney 2000 initiative drew in over £1 billion in regeneration funding. Played a major role in setting up and supporting Dalston City Challenge, the Comprehensive Estates Initiative, four SRB programmes, Hackney Safer Cities, Stoke Newington Capital Challenge and Shoreditch New Deal for Communities. Consultancy assignments have included: the mid-term evaluation of Camden's West Euston SRB Programme; development of the learndirect Partnership for Hackney, Tower Hamlets and the City; drafting the Business Plan for the Central London Connexions Service; advising Camden and Hastings on their Neighbourhood Renewal Strategies; and research for a Best Value review of community development in Luton. Has facilitated awaydays and strategy sessions for West of England Strategic Partnership, Lewisham Community (Empowerment) Network, Greater Hollington Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder, London Voluntary Services Council, Lambeth Riverside Community Development Trust, Hailsham (East Sussex) Sure Start and stakeholders of the London Development Agency's economic development strategy.
