Past life
During her degree Emma specialised in intergovernmental working and relationship development and completed a research thesis on ‘Intergovernmental Informality in Post Devolution Scotland’. While studying Emma also worked with severely disabled adults via Lothian centre for integrated living.

Qualitative research design and execution including: the formulation of research questions; desk based research; data collection and capture; literature review; secondary and statistical analysis; sampling selection; surveys and questionnaires; one-to-one and telephone interviewing; facilitation of focus group discussion; observation techniques; data analysis; research write-up; dissemination of research findings and recommendations; and ethical research practices and frameworks. Including particular expertise in research write-up and aptitude in analysing and conveying information in a written format in a succinct way; including the ability to adapt my writing style to varying target audiences.
