Introduction to the Partnership Evaluation Tool
The Partnership Evaluation Tool is an easy to use tool which helps organisations involved in a range of partnerships assess how each partnership is performing, the extent to which it is contributing to organisational objectives and targets, and then guides the organisation towards a decision about future of involvement. Advice may include suggesting specific areas where performance needs to be improved, or recommend that the organisations considers withdrawing its involvement.

Assessing against key features
Firstly, the tool allows scorers to assess their partnership against key features of successful partnerships with an easy to use sliding scale. They can also add qualitative evidence to further express their perception.
Assessing contribution to organisational objectives
The tool also supports users to think about what organisational objectives and targets the partnership is contributing towards; and the extent to which it is meeting expectations.
Reporting
The tool then presents findings, making strengths and weaknesses clearly identifiable.
Developing a plan
Based on the findings, the tool then presents recommendations on specific areas where partnership performance can be improved and suggested methods by which this can be achieved. Where the partnership is performing poorly, and is not contributing to the organisation's objectives, the tool may recommend that the organisation considers withdrawing its involvement in the partnership.
